Phew, this took ages to draw! :phew: This is for :iconpeaches09: for coming 1st in my contest! :D She wanted a pic of her OC Elijah :)
I drew the lines when I still had to use a mouse, so they're not like how I'm currently drawing lines. But the background and colouring are all done with my tablet =P The background definatly was time consuming XD But also fun to draw, most of the time. Though I can't seem to get the trees right :P Any tips?

I hope you like it! ^^

I like how you had the dragon walking under the branch. And the look on his face makes him look like he's looking at someone as if to say "Look what I can do!" The puddles are a nice touch as well, along with the fuzzies in the grass. Also, the grass in the foreground was a nice touch, especially how you had it out of focus. And the sun ray in the background was a great touch.

Of course a I have to say it does have it's downfalls. I feel like it's a little to lighted to be in a forest. Unless that's right at the edge of a forest, I don't see the shadows of other trees. And I would picture the foliage to block out a fair amount of light. The branch that he's walking under seems to big and to low for the perspective If it were smaller, it would be doable. You said yourself that the trees don't look right. To me, they look furry rather than wooden. And I don't see the shadow of the branch on the dragon. As for the look on his face, what is it that he's looking at? I feel like he's specifically looking strait at something.

Overall, I would rate it a 4/5, or an 8.5/10
