I'm pretty pleased with the result, but boy did the background not half take long Dx Having a cold didn't help either mind you :/ But I enjoyed drawing this anyway :D Hope you like it!

This is exactly the reason I offered you a Core Membership so long ago. I mean just look at the attention to detail (some of which I requested in a note to which you definitely payed attention to)! Look at the fire, it's in the background but demands attention, and the light reflects realistically and beautifully off Crash and Spyro.

I'm also a fan of the haziness of the objects in the background. It's almost like if this scene is not being witnessed, it is instead a recollection of a dream. But the obscurity does not obscure details, like the patch on the couch, the pictures above the fireplace, the firewood next to the fireplace, the curtain above the window, the woodgrains on the table, the area rug underneath, Spyro's shattered egg atop the table. Everything is visible for those who pay close attention, but all ATTENTION is rightfully focused on Crash and Spyro.

As windows to the soul, I requested that special detail was placed in each character's eyes. Both can't talk (one permanently and one because he's an infant), and so for the first time they both see each other, look at one another, I hoped and am satisfied with the level of intimacy and warmth of this cover. Spyro's innocent smile and Crash's soft smile despite how he found his new son, it's exactly as how I saw this moment. A profound moment for both of them in this story; CartoonSilverFox, you've outdone yourself.
